Now my work PC is much faster of course but all that extra money for the slight speed increase is not always needed by everybody. I’d also advise against using render engines plugins rather than Stand-alone render engines. My setup is probably 3k Euro, 2k of that of that is the cost of the Graphics Card. I’m using Blender (Evee and Cycles), Unreal Engine and Keyshot to render. If I use a real time engine (Evee or Unreal) I can get a 4k frame anywhere between 0.3 and 8 seconds. One 10k frame in about 1 hour compared to 20hr+ on the MacBook. I now get (using Blender Cycles as a reference): Ive upgraded it three times since buying it and my latest Graphic Card is specifically to increase my render speed (RTX3090). I upgraded to a PC from my 2015 MacBook Pro. In my company we have used almost every render engine, even some very obscure commerical ones so I have a good overall knowledge. Even still, Vray is not one of the top choices if you want speed. Ideally you want a GPU renderer if you want speed, I think the Vray SketchUp plugin is CPU only but I could be wrong.
